SSB INTERVIEW - DO YOU HAVE IT IN YOU?

DO YOU HAVE IT IN YOU?

The leader has to be confident, assured, bold and daring. He must be ready to take risks, show initiative and display interest in the growing opportunities. He must have determination and perseverance to carry on inspite of difficulties. He must accept new challenges cheerfully and seek out new responsibilities on his own initiative. He must have courage to face and audience and put across his views eloquently, cheerfully, logically and convincingly. He must maintain self control under all the circumstances and should be able to assert himself where the occasion demands it.

For the grant of commission, the assessors in the SSB’s look forward to 15 OLQ’s. These qualities are available in each individual under, above, below, around or beside the layers and are projected through personality traits as and when the occasion demands, or to the reaction of an individual to certain situations and causes. Everyone has some/certain degree and amount of leadership either apparent or latent. Through tough mental and practical exercises in difficult conditions under stress and strain, these qualities develop to their blooming best.

For the inculcation of these qualities, the LC and GC are made to cultivate extensive reading habits and are made to opt the intelligent applications of their experiences. The OLQ’s level, they are cultivated/operated and reoperated from the personality’s layers and inner cares, by this way consequently they could be mined or drilled and brought from these layers to the required level this processing is done so scientifically, and psychologically in such a way as the LC and GC being trained here can be efficient officer in the Defence Forces.

That there is a correspondence between OLQ’s and OLB’s when these OLQ’s and OLB’s correspond together with equilibrium then the candidate is recommended otherwise dropped down. This manifestation of correspondence becomes the law of nature.

How to write TAT or PPDT Stories SSB consists of three techniques, Psyche, GTO and the Interview one. Tests differ but the technique is the same and the technique is looking for suitability. Means possession! Projection and rating, ranking and grading of OLQs of the optimum satisfaction of the “Assessors” I will show you one of picture and would like to make up a story on the picture. The story should be as dramatic and imaginative as possible. Tell me what is happening in this picture?, what led up to it? And what will the outcome be? Describe as fully as you can, the thoughts, feeling, action and emotions of the character but please do not describe the picture as you are required to write a story with the blank card. The subject is asked (Subject here, would mean the candidate) to imagine and write a story about it. To encourage the flow of the story, I will suggest you to bear these aspects in the mind and to act like this. What is happening? How is it happening? ...
